Rent Dispute May Have Led To Brooklyn Shooting
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are investigating the shooting of a 55-year-old Brooklyn woman found dead early Wednesday morning on Linwood Street in East New York.
When police arrived at the scene shortly after 12:30 a.m., they found the woman shot in the chest. She was taken to Brookdale Hospital, where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
Authorities believe the woman may have been killed as part of a rent dispute with her landlord.
1010 WINS' Al Jones reported that neighbors described the woman as "loud" and "boisterous" and someone who went into "occasional outbursts." However, they added it was often just "Pat being Pat."

Jones reported that the landlord was questioned at a local police precinct, but aren't calling her a suspect at this time.
Neighbors, meanwhile, said the woman who was well known in neighborhood would be missed.
"It's just crazy. We're all going to miss her. Because she was like a part of East New York. Who didn't know Pat," one neighbor told Jones.
