Relatives Of Teen Killed In Hempstead Demand Justice
HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Relatives of a 17-year-old Long Island boy who was shot to death earlier this week are pleading for information about the shooting.
Dante Quinones Wright was hanging out with friends on Dartmouth Street in Hempstead when he was shot three times around 10 p.m. Wednesday. The teen was rushed to Winthrop Hospital where he died.
Daisy Smith, a friend of the victim, rushed to the scene after hearing what happened.

"I told him I loved him and I'm going to see you real soon," she said. "He said 'I'm dying.' I think he knew it was coming."
On Friday, family members gathered at a makeshift memorial with candles, flowers and stuffed animals that marks the spot where Wright was killed, demanding the teen's killer be brought to justice.
"You committed physical homicide against Dante, but emotional manslaughter against all of us," Wright's uncle Eddie Gordon said Friday. "We hope for your capture."
"I will ask that no one retaliate," Gordon added.
Relatives are also calling for an end to gun violence.
"If we don't do something he's not the only kid that's going to go down this road and that's the sad part about it," Wright's aunt said.
Relatives and activists are asking the community to cooperate.
"We want their help in solving these crimes," said Darrin Green, of the Law Enforcement Alliance.
