Arrests Made After 2 Men Found Fatally Shot Inside Car Registered To 'Real Housewives Of New Jersey' Star
PATERSON, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Two men have pleaded not guilty to charges in connection with the execution-style killings of two young fathers who were found dead in a car that belonged to a castmember of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey."
The bodies of Aaron Anderson, 27, and Antonio Vega, Jr., 25, were found in a burnt-out white Audi last Friday on East 28th Street in Paterson.
According to police, the vehicle is registered to Kim DePaola, known on TV as "Kim D," but it was used by her son, Chris Camisciolli. Police said the victims had dropped Camisciolli off at the airport Thursday night. Hours later, they were found shot inside the car.
Paterson police say Vega and Anderson were shot to death before the car was burned.
Clarence Williams, 26, and Gerry Thomas, 28, both of Paterson, were arrested late Monday night, police said. They are charged with murder, conspiracy to commit felony murder, arson, robbery and possession of a firearm for an unlawful purpose.
The prosecutor believes robbery was the motive, 1010 WINS' Al Jones reported.
"I don't think they invited them into the car, I don't think that's how it went down. I heard they shot through one of the windows and shot them both," Anderson's mother, Michele Ryerson, said. "I'm numb, I think my son's keeping me strong."
Neither were in person during their arraignment Tuesday afternoon, but it was still an emotionally charged initial court appearance, Jones reported.
"You're scum, I hope you heard me," Ryerson yelled as Williams' face appeared on a monitor via video feed.
Outside the courthouse, Ryerson later offered her own suggestion for justice.
"I would say let them loose to the family members and then let them be burnt alive so they can feel the pain that we feel," she said.
Ryerson said Anderson, who leaves behind a 16-month-old son, was loved by many.
"Aaron had so many best friends. They all considered Aaron their best friend. They all come to the house just devastated. Some of them can't even get out of bed," Ryerson said.
Vega's sister described her brother as a loving father.
"He'll rip his heart out for his daughter, he will do anything for his daughter," Esmerelda Vega said.
Williams and Thomas remain jailed pending a bail hearing Friday.
