Rangers Deal Christian Thomas To The Canadiens For Danny Kristo

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The New York Rangers announced on Tuesday that they acquired forward Danny Kristo from the Montreal Canadiens for Christian Thomas.

Kristo, 23, spent 2012-13 playing in the WCHA for the North Dakota Fightning Sioux before a short stint with Hamilton of the AHL. His 26 goals and 26 assists for North Dakota earned him a selection to the 2012–13 All-WCHA First Team. Kristo was the 56th overall draft pick in the 2008 NHL Draft.

In 9 games for Hamilton, Kristo totaled 3 points.

The 21-year-old Thomas played one game for the Rangers in 2012-13. He scored 35 points for the Connecticut Whale of the AHL in 73 games last season. Thomas was selected by the Rangers at 40th overall in the 2010 NHL Draft.
