Rain Expected To Last Into Friday
NEW YORK (CBS 2) – Incessant showers are plaguing the tri-state area on Thursday as a low front lingers and pushes its way slowly across the area, CBS 2's John Elliott reports.
As of noon, many areas, including JFK, Newark, Central Park and others, had already seen at least half an inch of rain.
The light rain is expected to continue into Friday as yet another low front approaches from the south, bringing with it more rain with a few breaks here and there.
Fog is also covering the area even though winds are coming from the northeast at 16 to 20 mph.
The temperature will also remain cold, hovering around 47 degrees, 10 degrees below the normal high.
