MTA crews are working to fix rain-damaged signal equipment, but the repairs could last through the weekend. Weather-related issues knocked out service between Times Square and Queensboro Plaza on Friday. The issue was not addressed until 10 p.m. Friday night, when service was restored on only one track.
As of 1:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon, the MTA said 7 Trains were running every 30 minutes between Times Square and Queensboro Plaza. Service between Queensboro Plaza and Main St. is running every 8 minutes.
The MTA is advising customers to consider using E, F, N or R lines as an alternative.
