Raiders Reportedly Add Jets VP Of College Scouting Joey Clinkscales
NEW YORK (WFAN) - The Oakland Raiders are reportedly adding Jets vice president of college scouting Joey Clinkscales to their front-office staff, according to the NFL.
Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie and Clinkscales were college teammates at the University of Tennessee and are said to be lifelong friends. The Jets hoped to keep Clinkscales in the organization, league sources said.
Clinkscales has been a part of the Jets' scouting department for 17 seasons and has held his current position for the past four. He was instrumental in the decision to trade up in the 2009 NFL Draft to select quarterback Mark Sanchez.
