Queens Man Convicted Of Raping, Framing Ex-Girlfriend Gets Prison
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A Queens man, who was convicted in November of framing his ex-girlfriend for a string of violent crimes, has been sentenced to the maximum of 32 years in prison.
Right up until his sentencing, Jerry Ramrattan denied all the accusations and showed no remorse, 1010 WINS' Carol D'Auria reports.

Prosecutors said Ramrattan raped his ex-girlfriend, Seemona Sumasar, and then concocted an elaborate scheme to implicate her in a series of Nassau County robberies as revenge for going to the police and reporting the sex crime.
Two people who had posed as robbery victims after apparently being paid off by Ramrattan to file false reports eventually came clean and confessed they had lied about the crimes.
She was cleared of all charges after spending seven months in jail.

At his sentencing Wednesday, the judge called Ramrattan a sinister manipulator, diabolical conniver and an evil and vindictive schemer.
During her impact statement, Sumasar called Ramrattan a "sociopath."
"You made sure that I was left with nothing when you were done because you're evil, I don't even have words for you," Sumasar during. "I know that you're pure evil, and you're a sociopath and you need help."
Sumasar has filed a lawsuit against Nassau County.
