Fake FedEx Workers Force Their Way Into Queens Home, Threaten Family At Gunpoint
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Two men posing as FedEx workers forced their way into a Queens home Friday, punching a woman in the face and pointing a gun at children.
A man, woman and children were inside the Laurelton home when they heard a knock on the door and saw two men wearing FedEx jackets on the stoop, sources said. The men called the woman by her last name and said they had a package for her.
When she opened the door, the men pushed their way inside. One of them had a gun and ordered everyone, including the children, to the floor.
"They had my daughter at gunpoint in the room and my 13-year-old son in the room," the woman told 1010 WINS' Carol D'Auria. "And then they got me in the bathroom."
Her 49-year-old babysitter was there as well.
"I see a man just burst around the corner with a gun in his hand. 'Get on the floor, get on the floor.' I was so frightened," she said.
A third man went into the home and stood watch over the victims as the other two ransacked a bedroom.
At one point, the woman ran into the kitchen and grabbed a knife, but the men disarmed her, punching her in the face, sources said.
The fake delivery workers fled with a bag containing unknown items and $10 in cash. They took off in a gray four-door BMW.
The woman was treated for pain and bruising to her face.
No arrests have been made.
