Queens Bus Driver Accused Of Fondling Young Girls
NEW YORK (WCBS 880/CBS 2) -- A long time Queens elementary school bus driver has been charged with multiple counts of endangering the welfare of a child after he allegedly fondled three young girls.
Police said a 7-year-old girl told her mother over the past few months, she had been touched inappropriately on several occasions over her clothing by her bus driver -- 69-year-old Nelson Painchault, of Corona.
The girl's mother notified police, who conducted an investigation. During the probe, two other girls -- ages 8 and 9 --- also accused the driver of touching them, WCBS 880's Ginny Kosola reported.

Painchault, who Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said had been a driver for 11 years, was fired from his job at Adrilliz Transport, a Corona-based private transport company.
"You put kids in the custody of a school bus driver who has the responsibility to safely transport the kids to and from school, and the next thing you know, the trust is betrayed," Brown said.
Painchault had been driving students in Corona, Elmhurst and Maspeth.
