Banner Touting Vladimir Putin As 'Peacemaker' Hung From Manhattan Bridge
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - A banner that appeared to praise Russian President Vladimir Putin as a "peacemaker" was hung from the Manhattan Bridge Thursday afternoon.
The banner, 20 feet by 30 feet, was draped from the northern walkway on the Brooklyn side of the bridge at around 2:30 p.m.
The banner was removed a short time later.
Officers are looking at surveillance video on and around the bridge to try to find whoever hung the banner.
There have been no arrests.
