Prosecutors: Brooklyn Man Ordered 'Honor Killings' In Pakistan
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A Pakistani man living in Brooklyn ordered the deaths of two people in Pakistan as retaliation after his daughter was freed from an arranged marriage there, federal prosecutors announced Wednesday.
Mohammad Choudhry, 60, arranged the marriage of his daughter, Amina Ajmal, a U.S. citizen, with a Pakistani man in a bid to help him receive a U.S. visa, WCBS 880's Irene Cornell reported, citing U.S. Attorney Loretta Lynch. Ajmal was allegedly held against her will for three years before a cousin, along with the U.S. State Department, helped her escape.

Choudhry then ordered his brother to commit the "honor killings" of the cousin's father and sister, prosecutors said.
An indictment against Choudry was issued Wednesday. He pleaded not guilty in his arraignment in Brooklyn.
