Prosecutor: NJ Teen Accused Of Stabbing Sister To Death During Argument
WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) - A northern New Jersey teenager is accused of fatally stabbing his 21-year-old sister with a kitchen knife during an argument.
Bergen County Prosecutor John Molinelli says 17-year-old Travis Gallo stabbed sister Teia Gallo multiple times around 5:30 p.m. Thursday in their Washington Township home.
Officials say the brother and sister are among 12 children in the family. Three of the children are adopted, including the suspect and the victim, according to authorities.

The prosecutor says one of their other siblings was home at the time of the stabbing and called 911.
It is unclear what sparked the argument, prosecutors said.
Neighbors said the incident is a shock.
"You know, 54 years on this earth and then you get a jolt like this. It's something totally unexpected," neighbor Dale Martino said.
Travis Gallo was due to appear in court Friday. Charges against the teen were pending.
