Princeton University Handing Out Cups To Students To Curb Meningitis
PRINCETON, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Princeton University is giving out 5,000 red cups to students in an effort to help fight the spread of meningitis.
The cups bear the message, "Mine. Not Yours."
The student health advisory board came up with the idea after discovering Type B meningitis is most commonly spread by people sharing drinks.

"We really are encouraging students to take these cups and to take a permanent marker and write their name on them or put some other way to identify their cup from all the other cups," health educator Kathy Wagner Kathy Wagner told WCBS 880's Levon Putney.
There were five cases of meningitis on the Princeton campus between March and June.
The students have all since recovered.
