Prime Minister Of Britain To Visit Newark During U.S. Trip
NEWARK, NJ (AP) -- Britain's prime minister is scheduled to make a stop in Newark this week to meet with Mayor Cory Booker.
Booker's office says the mayor and Prime Minister David Cameron will talk about some of the city's programs for education, economic development and child and family support that could be replicated in Great Britain.
Further details on the visit have not been released.
Cameron's visit will come on the final day of a three-day trip in which he's expected to discuss foreign policy issues with President Barack Obama.
The two leaders are scheduled to be in Ohio on Tuesday night to watch an NCAA Tournament basketball game. Cameron will be the guest at a state dinner at the White House on Wednesday.
