Pregnant Woman With Diabetes Still Missing

MOUNT VERNON, NY (AP / WCBS 880) - Police in a suburb north of New York City have become increasingly concerned about the health of a pregnant woman with Type 1 diabetes who went missing over the weekend.

Mount Vernon police Chief Barbara Duncan says there doesn't appear to be any sign of foul play in the disappearance of 32-year-old Gizela Andrade, who is four-months pregnant.

But Duncan says her overriding concern is Andrade's health. Diabetes can lead to serious complications, even death, if untreated.

Andrade was reported missing Sunday to police in Mount Vernon, about 17 miles north of Manhattan.

Police say she was last seen on Saturday after getting into an argument with her boyfriend.
