Pregnant Woman Found Dead In Brooklyn Apartment Was Going To Be Married On Sunday
NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- Police in Brooklyn are searching for the killer of a pregnant bride-to-be who was found stabbed to death inside of her Brownsville home on Saturday morning.
Vindalee Smith, 38, was found with stab wounds to her neck around 9:30, police said. Smith was eight months pregnant, according to friends.
Emergency responders pronounced Smith dead at the scene.
Shocked members of the Seventh Day Adventist Church that Smith was a member of told 1010 WINS reporter Gary Baumgarten that the killing should serve as a call for New Yorkers to renounce violence.
"Turn away from your wicked ways," she said.
