Powerful Thunderstorms Bring Hail, Winds And Rain To N.Y. And N.J.
TETERBORO, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Monday's soaring heat gave way to intense storms in the afternoon.
Video shows hail pouring down in parts of New Jersey, including in a neighborhood in Manalapan and on Route 46 in Teterboro, N.J.
In Old Bridge, a tree was knocked down onto a house by a strong gust of wind. No one was hurt and the home wasn't seriously damaged.
In New York City, viewer Cary Hamilton posted video on Twitter of a lightning strike on Google's headquarters in Chelsea.
A severe thunderstorm and flash flood warning was put in place for parts of our area Monday afternoon and evening.
