NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- It's the end of an era for Harry Potter fans.

For muggles who are serious about becoming completely engaged in the world of Harry Potter, there's Harry Potter: The Exhibition now on display at Discovery Times Square.
The exhibition brings Hogwarts to life with more than 200 authentic costumes and sets, such as Hagrid's Hut, Harry's first wand and glasses, school robes and more. Visitors to the exhibition will also get to participate in hands-on activities such as Quidditch and pull your own mandrake.
Still not quite ready to part ways with the series or the story? This weekend in New York City are events that will help keep the magic alive.
On Friday the Upright Citizen's Brigade will be hosting The Hogwarts Improvisation Society. Two teams, representing Gryffindor and Slytherin, will compete for house points in this improv competition. Guests are encouraged to dress up to support their favorite team: red and yellow for Gryffindor, green and white for Slytherin—of course.
On Saturday, celebrate the final Harry Potter movie at the Scholastic store in SoHo. Come in costume for trivia, arts and crafts and more.
For fans looking for a more interactive way to show their love for Harry Potter and his wizarding world, there's the Watson Adventures: The Wizard School Scavenger Hunt.
The scavenger hunts, which will be held on Saturday and Sunday at 4 p.m.and 2 p.m., respectively, will begin at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Participants will search for art that echoes Hogwarts-themed characters, places and items.
