Port Authority Releases Video Of Flooding From Sandy At PATH Stations
JERSEY CITY, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Wondering why it's been so hard to get all PATH stations up and running?
A video released by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey could offer some answers.
The footage shows flooding in stations as Sandy hit.
The video opens with water rising at the Exchange Place station in Jersey City.
It then shows water over the turnstiles in Hoboken and a torrent of water flowing from an elevator, down stairs and along the tracks.
Repairs continue with PATH trains operating on a limited basis more than two weeks after Sandy hit.
More progress is being made.
The Christopher Street PATH station will be open for weekends only beginning this Sunday at 5 a.m.
The commuter line links New Jersey and New York City.
