Port Authority Police Respond After Man Leaves Bag In Business Class Lounge At JFK
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - A passenger's apparently forgotten bag prompted a security response this morning at JFK International Airport.

Port Authority Police said they went through standard procedures after a passenger who boarded a plane bound for San Francisco apparently left a black suitcase in the business lounge at Terminal 8.
The bomb squad and canine units were called. Part of the terminal was evacuated briefly.
As it turns out, the bag apparently had next to nothing in it.
Port Authority Police say they identified the bag's owner on board the flight. The man who boarded the flight did not check any bags or bring any carry-on bags aboard, which apparently raised suspicions.
American Airlines occupies Terminal 8.
Passengers were allowed back in to the terminal after 90 minutes.
CBS 2's Kendis Gibson reports despite the problem, passengers saw on-time departures. American Airlines said the vast majority of their flights we not impacted.
The rest of Kennedy Airport remained open during the investigation.
In a recent security breach at JFK, a man was able to fly across the country allegedly using an expired boarding pass.
