Port Authority, Amtrak Say They're Moving Again After Sandy
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - More mass transit operations are coming online in the wake of superstorm Sandy.
AMTRAK announced Thursday afternoon that modified service between New York and points south and New York-Boston is up and running.
More announcements were expected later.
The Port Authority said LaGuardia Airport opened both runways Thursday with limited service.

JFK International Airport opened a third runway Thursday and is fully operational. However carriers are working to restore full schedules. In addition, AirTrain JFK has limited service. Service is running between Jamaica Terminal and Federal Circle and Federal Circle to Howard Beach. Buses will provide shuttle service between Federal Circle and passenger terminals. AirTrain JFK fares remain suspended through Friday.
Newark Airport was described as "fully operational," and carriers are increasing service.
Stewart International Airport is operating normally.
Teterboro Airport had both runways operating during daylight hours.
Greyhound Bus service resumed operations out of the Port Authority Bus Terminal. Other carriers are also adding service.
Ferries also resumed service from 7 a.m.-6:30 p.m. from Paulus Hook, Weehawken and Hoboken North at 14th Street to the World Financial Ferry Terminal in Battery Park City. For more information, click here.
