NEW YORK (WCBS 880) - Think you've had a "Eureka!" moment? Well, Popular Science is out with its annual list of the 100 best innovations of the year.

You might even want to add some of these items to your Black Friday shopping list.
There are cameras that focus your shots after they're taken, an inflatable wet suit that lifts divers in distress to the surface, and less painful vaccines delivered closer to the surface of the skin.
Popular Science's Corinne Iozzio says they're also impressed with new ways of dismantling oil rigs and a soccer ball with a generator that creates light after a day of play.
"Technology that does good. You know, devices and products that have a little bit more social responsibility and a little bit more consciousness of environmental and world impact," she told WCBS 880 reporter Paul Murnane. "When people have their one project that they're very passionate about, they can dedicate their time and energy and their passion to really making their own success."
Some of the best ideas spring from individuals in small groups. They're seeing fewer great ideas from big companies.
Many innovators, she says, have perfected their ideas in labs on college campuses.
"Once these kids get to a college level where they have more resources readily accessible is when these things really start to shine," she said.
