It's expected to heat up again this weekend, but they'll be no relaxing at the Lake Nanuet pool in Clarkstown.
WCBS 880's Catherine Cioffi reports that town officials say the storm last weekend dumped soot and debris from an underground drainage system on Route 304 into the pool.
The only way to clean it up would be to drain the pool and refill it.
Lake Nanuet usually attracts about 1,500 people on a warm summer weekend.
The pool will remain closed for the remainder of the season.
The town says that residents are welcome to use the Germonds or Congers pools.
