Poll: NJ Voters Have Strong Views About Christie
TRENTON, N.J. (AP) -- A new poll finds New Jerseyans have strong feelings about their blunt-talking governor.
In the Fairleigh Dickinson-PublicMind Poll out Tuesday, one-quarter of New Jerseyans strongly approve of the job Gov. Chris Christie is doing. An equal number strongly disapprove.
Overall, 49 percent give Christie a thumbs up, compared to 39 percent who give his job performance a thumbs down.
The Republican governor fares better in the poll than his nemesis, the largest state teachers union. Just under 40 percent think favorably of the New Jersey Education Association; about the same number have a negative view.
The telephone poll of 804 registered voters was conducted Nov. 15-21 and has a sampling error margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.
