Poll: Gov. Christie's Approval Rating Unchanged
TRENTON, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- A new poll shows New Jersey voters continue to like the job Gov. Chris Christie is doing even while they kept Democrats in charge of the Legislature.
The Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday shows Christie's job approval rating at 56-38 percent, unchanged from a month ago.
Voters were split 46-48 percent on whether Christie's failure to make Republican gains in the Legislature would spell trouble for him if he runs for re-election in two years.
Republicans failed to make pick up any seats in the Senate, and lost one seat in the Assembly on Nov. 8.
The telephone poll of 1,788 registered voters was taken Nov. 9-14 and has an error margin of plus or minus 2.3 percentage points.
