Police: Woman Hit, Killed By Cab In Brooklyn After Falling Off Motorcycle
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police said a woman was hit and killed by a taxi early Thursday morning after falling off a motorcycle in Brooklyn.
It happened just before 1 a.m. on the Belt Parkway at Pennsylvania Avenue. Police said the 37-year-old victim was a passenger on the bike when she was thrown from the motorcycle after it struck a barrier.
That's when she was hit by a cab traveling in the westbound lanes of the parkway, police said. The cab driver did not remain at the scene, police said.
The woman was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead. The male driver of the bike was also taken to the hospital and is in stable condition.
The investigation is ongoing.
