Police: Victim In East Harlem Subway Assault Dies; Suspect Still At Large
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The victim of an assault on a subway platform last Friday has died of his injuries, the NYPD said.
Police are still searching for the man who they said punched 45-year-old James Kutza, of the Bronx, in the head at the 125th Street and Lexington Avenue station last Friday morning.
Investigators said a fight between Kutza and the suspect spilled out from a northbound "6" train subway car onto the platform.
During the fight, Kutza fell to the ground and hit his head on the platform. He was taken to Harlem Hospital, where he later died, police said.
The suspect was described as a light-skinned male, about 6-feet-tall and weighing 180 pounds.
