Police: Team Of Burglars Struck Brooklyn Pharmacies 5 Times Last Month
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police were seeking the public's help Tuesday in finding four suspects in a string of pharmacy burglaries in Brooklyn last month.
The burglaries happened in the Bay Ridge, Bensonhurst and Kensington sections of Brooklyn, police said. The suspects took a variety of items, including diabetic test strips and Rogaine.
The incidents happened at the following times and locations:
• Sunday Nov. 16, 2014 at 10:12 a.m., in a Duane Reade at 436 86th St. The suspects took diabetic test strips;
• Sunday, Nov. 16, at 10:30 a.m., at a Walgreens at 1511 86th St. The suspects took more diabetic test strips;
• Wednesday, Nov. 19, at 12:56 p.m., at a CVS Pharmacy at 2151 86th St. The suspects took still more diabetic test strips;
• Sunday, Nov. 23, at 7:49 p.m., back at the Duane Reade at 436 86th St. The suspects took Rogaine products;
• Sunday, Nov. 23, at 9 p.m. in a CVS Pharmacy at 411 Ditmas Ave. The suspects took miscellaneous medication.
One of the suspects was described as a black male in his late 40s who was last seen wearing a black jacket, blue faded jeans, a green sweater and a black winter hat. A second suspect was described as a black male in his early 40s who was last seen wearing a black winter jacket, a dark sweater and jeans.
A third suspect was described as a black male in his late 30s, last seen wearing a black knee-high length jacket, a sweat shirt, dark pants, a black winter hat, and glasses. A fourth was described as a black male in his early 30s, last seen wearing a black jacket, a gray sweat shirt underneath, pants, a scarf, and a baseball hat.
Police have released surveillance images from the most recent incident.
