Police: Suspects Ripped Off Gold Chain, Jewelry From Man In East Flatbush
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Thursday were asking for assistance from the public in finding two suspects who allegedly robbed a man of his gold chain and other items at gunpoint in East Flatbush, Brooklyn.
Around 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 2, the two suspects ripped off the 61-year-old man's gold necklace, two rings and watch while displaying a firearm at East 53rd Street and Church Avenue in Brooklyn, police said.
The suspects ran off east on Snyder Avenue, police said.
The suspects were described as black males, one standing 5 feet 7 to 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing about 155 to 165 pounds, the other standing 5 feet 8 to 5 feet 9 inches tall with a slender build. The second suspect was last seen wearing a gray sweat shirt and jeans, and had the gun, police said.
Police have released surveillance video of the robbery in progress.
