Police: Suspects Fire Shots Into Elmont Home Injuring 20-Year-Old Woman
ELMONT, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- An Elmont woman is in stable condition after being shot in the stomach late Sunday night.
Nassau County police said the 20-year-old woman screamed at a group of 10 to 12 men from the window of her home after she saw them hitting her boyfriend's car, which was parked in the driveway.
Police said the men fire five shots into the home, striking the woman in the stomach.
The suspect then fled in three cars and were last seen heading east on Hempstead Turnpike, police said.
The vehicles were described as a white car with a black hood, a silver car, and a blue and green car.
Police believe the suspects were looking for the woman's boyfriend.
