Police: Suspect Sexually Assaulted Woman On 2 Train, Platform
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The search is on for a sexual assault suspect who allegedly attacked a woman twice last week on the subway.
The suspect sexually abused a 20-year-old woman on a northbound number 2 train last Wednesday around 6:15 p.m. and then denied doing it after she confronted him about it, police said.
The suspect then assaulted the woman on the platform after they both got off the train at the 96th Street station, police said.
The woman was able to take a picture of the suspect before he fled the scene, police said.
The suspect is believed to be between 45- and 50-years-old, standing 5'7" to 5'9" tall and weighing about 200 pounds.
Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
