Police: Suspect Ripped Necklace From Girl, 3, At Queens McDonald's
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Saturday were searching for a suspect who snatched a necklace from a 3-year-old girl inside a McDonald's in Jackson Heights, Queens.
Police said at 1:47 p.m. Friday, the suspect followed the girl and her mother into the McDonald's at 37-59 82nd St. in Queens. The suspect waited for the girl to walk upstairs and followed her up, police said.
Upon catching her, the suspect ripped a gold necklace and charm from the girl's neck, police said. He then fled the McDonald's.
The girl was not injured, police said.
The suspect was described as a man about 40, balding, and wearing a gray button-down shirt and blue jeans. Police have released a surveillance video of the suspect.
