Police: Suspect Chokes East Harlem Woman, Forces Her To Withdraw Cash From ATM
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are searching for a robbery suspect who they said forced a woman at gunpoint to withdraw money from an ATM in East Harlem.
Around 7:45 p.m. Tuesday, the suspect grabbed a 31-year-old woman in the lobby of her apartment building, put her in a choke hold and then walked her at gunpoint to an ATM at a bodega to withdraw money, police said.

Bodega manager Deya Aldalali said none of the employees spotted the hold-up as it was happening, but it appears on video that a frightened female customer did.
"She couldn't even move, she was afraid," Aldalali said. "She did see something but I know from the reaction that she was scared."
Aldalali added that by the time workers knew what was happening, the suspect and victim were gone.
The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspect.

Police said the suspect is between 25 and 35-years-old, 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs about 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a yellow hooded sweatshirt and jeans.
