Police Seek Suspect Who Beat 76-Year-Old Man On Subway Train
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police were asking for the assistance of the public Tuesday in finding the suspect who attacked a 76-year-old man at on a subway train in East New York, Brooklyn last month.
On Wednesday, Dec. 19, around 3:50 p.m., the 76-year-old man was riding the northbound J train at the Alabama Avenue elevated station. The suspect "exchanged words" with the man and began punching him repeatedly in the face, police said.
The suspect then fled the train at the Cypress Hills station. He was accompanied by a minor child, police said.
The suspect was described as a black male between the ages of 30 to 35, standing about 6 feet tall and weighing 180 to 190 pounds, and wearing a black coat and dark-colored pants.
Police have released a surveillance video of the suspect.
