Police Seek Suspect Wanted In 5 Brooklyn & Manhattan Robberies
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are asking for help identifying a suspect wanted in five robberies in Brooklyn and Manhattan.
Authorities said the incidents took place between Aug. 21 and Sept. 11., and that the suspect has taken jewelry, cell phones, a pocketbook and iPods from his victims. All except for one of the victims were females.
Authorities said that in all of the robberies, the suspect approaches victims and states that he believes they are responsible for either a robbery or an assault of his niece. They also said that while the suspect never displays a weapon, he does simulate a gun or threaten violence.
The latest incident took place on Sept. 11 at 10:30 a.m. The victim was a 16-year-old girl on the northbound platform of the 3 Train at the Saratoga Avenue station. The victim had her cell phone taken before the suspect fled.
There were no injuries in any of the incidents.
