Police Seek Robber Who Held Up Bank In Murray Hill
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police this weekend were asking for help from the public in finding a man who held up a bank in Murray Hill.
Around 12:20 p.m. this past Monday, the robber walked into the Sovereign Bank at 250 Lexington Ave. – at 35th Street – and approached a teller. He handed over a demand note and fled with an unspecified amount of money, police said.
The teller was not injured. Police did not disclose what the note said.
The suspect was described as a white male in his late 30s, standing 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, with light-colored eyes, a beard, and a clear complexion. He was last seen wearing an olive-colored, hooded winter coat; black sweat pants; and black sneakers.
