Police Seek Boyfriend In Shooting That Killed Woman, 46, In Brooklyn
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Sunday were searching for a Brooklyn woman's boyfriend, after the woman was found shot and killed inside her apartment.
Police found Sellis Gonzales, 46, lying with gunshot wounds around 8:42 p.m. this past Wednesday in her apartment on Chauncey Street on the edge of the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn.
She had suffered gunshots to her head and torso, police said.
Paramedics took Gonzales to Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead, police said.
Police have identified Gonzales' boyfriend – Eric McCormick, 40 – as a suspect in the shooting. He was described as a black male standing 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 225 pounds.
Police have released a photo of McCormick.
