Police Searching For Suspects In Nassau County Home Invasion
ELMONT, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) - Nassau County police are investigating after three suspects, two of which are said to have worn what looked to be UPS uniforms, robbed a home in Elmont around 7:45 p.m. Friday.
Police say the three suspects entered the home on Emily Avenue through a side door. One suspect reportedly tied the hands of two victims, ages 8 and 15, while a second suspect went upstairs and demanded money from two more victims, ages 25 and 29.
When the victims told the suspects they didn't have any, the third suspect began searching the rooms, police said.
The suspects found a fifth victim in the home's basement, whom they also demanded money from. When the 21-year-old refused, police say he was tasered in the back.
Police say the suspects fled the home with cash, jewelry and a cell phone.
Suspect No. 1 is described as a black male, 6-foot-2, wearing a UPS uniform with a black hoodie, displaying a handgun. The second suspect, also a black male, is said to be 5-foot-8, 200 pounds, in his 20s, also wearing a UPS uniform and having a handgun. The third suspect, a black male in his 20s and around 5-foot-8, was said to be wearing a red hoodie and green and red Lebron sneakers.
