Police Search For Suspect Who Robbed Harlem Laundromats At Gunpoint
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police Monday were seeking the help of the public in finding suspect who robbed two Harlem Laundromats at gunpoint in recent weeks.
In both incidents, the suspect walked in, flashed a gun, and demanded cash. The victims complied, and no one was injured.
In the first incident, around 5:20 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 6, the robber walked into the 24-hour Laundromat at 110 W. 145th St., displayed a gun, and demanded cash. He fled with an unknown sum of money.
In the second incident around 5:20 a.m. this past Tuesday, the suspect walked into another 24-hour Laundromat at 824 St. Nicholas Ave., showed a gun, and demanded cash. He again fled with an unknown sum of money.
The suspect was caught on surveillance video at one of the Laundromats.
