Police Search For Suspect In Bronx Subway Restaurant Robbery
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police were asking for the public's help Sunday evening in finding the man who committed a robbery at a Subway restaurant in the Bronx.
The man walked into the Subway sandwich shop at 980 E. 233rd St., in the Wakefield section of the Bronx, at 7:38 p.m. Saturday, police said. He flashed a gun and demanded cash.
The victim, 15-year-old girl, complied and handed cash to the suspect, police said. A police incident report did not specify whether the girl was working at the restaurant or if she was a customer.
The suspect was described as a black male between 5 feet 9 and 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a Band-Aid under his left eye. He was last seen wearing a red-hooded sweatshirt and black Yankees baseball cap, police said.
