Police Search For Robbers Who Struck 8 Times In 1 Night In Brooklyn
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Wednesday were seeking three suspects in a string of robberies in southern Brooklyn.
The robberies all happened on Friday, Oct. 5, in the Borough Park and Bensonhurst sections of Brooklyn.
In each incident, the victims were approached by the suspects, and one of the suspects hit the victim with a blunt object while the others punched and kicked the victims and stole property.
The first incident happened at 2 a.m. near 964 59th St. The suspects took a man's wallet iPhone and $100.
The second happened around 3 a.m. near Eighth Avenue and 59th Street in Brooklyn. The suspects assaulted a man, but did not take any property.
The third happened around 3:20 a.m. at Benson and 24th avenues. The suspects took $200 and an iPhone, and the victim was taken to Lutheran Medical Center for treatment.
The fourth incident happened around 3:50 a.m., and targeted a 57-year-old man near 63rd Street and Bay Parkway. The suspects attacked the man but did not remove any property after he resisted, and he was taken to Lutheran Medical Center for treatment.
The fifth happened around 4 a.m., and targeted a 23-year-old man at 20th Avenue and 84th Street. The suspects took the man's Dr. Dre Beats headphones, and the victim was taken to Lutheran Medical Center.
The sixth incident happened about 10 minutes later near 774 51st St. The suspects attacked two men – ages 29 and 30 – and took a jacket and iPhone.
Around 5:20 a.m., the suspects attacked a seventh time, taking $300, an iPhone and a two-way radio from a 33-year-old man.
In the final incident, the suspects approached a 48-year-old man near 1451 60th St., where they attacked him and removed a CB radio.
A sketch of one of the suspects was provided by police. No descriptions were released.
