Police Search For Robber Who Made Off With $5,000 From Bronx Bank
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Wednesday were searching for a suspect who robbed a bank in the Belmont section of the Bronx last month.
The robbery happened around 1:55 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, at the Chase Bank at 2402 Arthur Ave. in the Bronx, police said.
The man walked up to a teller and passed a note demanding money, police said. The teller complied, and the suspect made off with $5,000.
The suspect was described as a white male in his late 40s, standing about 5 feet 11 inches tall with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a camouflage hat, dark sunglasses, blue jeans, a light blue button-down shirt and black high top sneakers.
Police have released a photo of the suspect.
