Police Search For Missing N.J. Woman

PATERSON, N.J. (AP/ CBS 2) -- Police were conducting a frantic search Tuesday afternoon for a missing woman from Manchester, New Jersey, who police said was kidnapped in Paterson not too far from her car, CBS 2HD's Christine Sloan reports.

Witnesses told police they saw two men abducting 30-year-old Anne Donahue on Monday around 11 a.m. near railroad tracks. The men were seen dragging her up the tracks which are about seven blocks away from where her car was discovered.

Detective Capt. Heriberto Rodriguez said the information is "pretty solid."

Investigators hoped to get clues from the car, and said this wasn't the first time she was here near the street.

Police said they also recovered some evidence at the scene and that by all accounts it corroborated the witnesses' accounts.

Donahue was reportedly last seen driving a 2001 four-door bronze Chevrolet Impala with New Jersey license plates YTH-30P.

Donahue is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall and 135 pounds, with green eyes and brown hair.

Police asked anyone with information to call the detective bureau at 973-321-1120.
