Police Search For Man Who Robbed Small Stores Across Manhattan
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police Saturday were asking for the public's help in finding a robber who held up multiple two convenience stores, a deli and a Dunkin' Donuts around Manhattan in recent weeks.
Each time, the man walked into the establishment and pretended to buy something, only to flash a black handgun while demanding cash. Each time, he made off with an unknown amount of money and property.
The man robbed the New Museum Deli, at 370 Columbus Ave. on the Upper West Side, at 10:53 p.m. Feb. 15. He then robbed the Dunkin' Donuts at 243 Ninth Ave. in Chelsea at 6:28 a.m. Feb. 18, the One Stop Convenience Store at 1490 First Ave. on the Upper East Side on March 8, and the News & Discount Convenience Store at 1198 First Ave., also on the Upper East Side, this past Monday.
The robber is described as a Hispanic male standing 5 feet 7 to 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 170 to 190 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue denim jacket with a gray hooded sweat shirt.
