Police: Robbers Using Ads For iPhones To Target Victims In Paterson
PATERSON, NJ (CBSNewYork) - Paterson police are reporting numerous robberies in the past two weeks of people who used Craigslist to buy or sell used iPhones.

Detective Lt. Ronald Humphrey told The Record the buyer or seller is told to go to the city's Northside.
Humphrey says there they are approached by two or three men, who are usually armed with handguns.
Detective Lt. Richard Reyes says the suspects are believed to be in their teens or early 20s and he advises internet and Craigslist users to beware.
"That's the key thing," Reyes told WCBS 880 reporter Levon Putney. "Like getting into light. In order not to be a victim, we have to go into everything with our eyes open."
He says when making the transaction, choose a public area.
Several people have sustained minor injuries.
They have some leads, but ask any other victims or witnesses to call police at 973-321-1111.
