Police Release Video Of Suspects In Deadly Bed-Stuy Shooting
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Sunday released a surveillance video of two men suspected in a shooting that left a teenage boy dead in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn.
Officers arrived around 4:05 a.m. Saturday to the scene of a shooting in front of 1198 Fulton St. in Brooklyn, police said.
Upon arriving, police found Kamau Chandler of Brooklyn lying at the scene with two gunshot wounds to the head and one to the chest. He was taken to Interfaith Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
Police later learned that Chandler and his friends were walking down Fulton Street when they were approached from behind by two suspects. The groups got into a quarrel, and one of the suspects allegedly took out a handgun and shot Chandler, police said.
The gunman was described as a black male in his 20s, with a thin build and short hair. He was wearing an orange T-shirt with a dark strip on it, police said.
The second suspect was described as a black male of an unspecified age, standing 6 feet 2 inches tall and wearing a navy blue cutoff hoody, police said.
Police on Sunday released a surveillance video they said showed both suspects.
