Police Release Photos Of Suspect Who Robbed Midtown Chipotle
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Monday were asking the public to identify a man who robbed a Chipotle restaurant, and made an employee tie up his co-workers, in the Mutual of America Building in Midtown last week.
The robbery happened around 11:35 p.m. on April 25. The man entered the Chipotle in the office building, at 320 Park Ave. near 50th St., and demanded money from the store safe, police said.
The man brandished a silver handgun, and forced one of the employees to restrain his co-workers with zip ties as he cleaned out the money from the restaurant, police said. He fled with $6,000.
The suspect was described as about 6-foot to 6-1, weighing between 200 and 225 pounds and wearing black jeans, a black Northface jacket, a black hooded sweat shirt and a black winter hat with a white emblem on the front. He was also wearing white gloves with red pants, police said.
Police have released multiple surveillance photos of the suspect.
