Police: Off-Duty Cop Stabbed During Family Dispute
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- An off-duty cop was stabbed on Friday night during a family argument in Brooklyn, police said.
The unidentified officer, 48, is a 15-year veteran of the NYPD, 1010 WINS reported.

He was stabbed during an argument that apparently started over smoking inside of a Bushwick residence.
"The police officer told him to stop smoking in the house and he got upset and picked up the knife and stabbed him," a neighbor told 1010 WINS' Gary Baumgarten.
The cop was taken to Kings County Hospital and is listed in serious condition.
Police took a 64-year-old relative of the officer into custody at the scene. Neighbors described the Vietnam veteran as nice, but a little erratic, Baumgarten reported.
Charges were pending.
