Queens DA Won't Prosecute Teacher Accused Of Sexual Contact With Student
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- A New York City teacher arrested after police said she had an inappropriate relationship with a student will not be prosecuted.
Urszula Jankowska, 33, was charged with criminal sex acts, forcible touching and endangering the welfare of a child.
Police said the alleged sexual misconduct occurred at various locations over the course of several weeks in the fall of 2011.
However the Queen District Attorney's office said they won't be prosecuting Jankowska, citing lack of evidence.
The Department of Education said Jankowska was immediately removed from the school following the allegations of sexual misconduct with a student. The victim's age was not released.
Jankowska most recently taught English as a second language at Williamsburg High School for Architecture and Design.
